. . .The churches of Christ salute you (Rom. 16:16)
If you are visiting our area, already living here, or considering moving to our area, we hope that you will choose to join us for Bible study and worship. We are a simple New Testament congregation of the Lord's people of all ages and of many interests. We seek to worship after the pattern set forth in the Scriptures by following the example of the early church and authority of the Lord's apostles (Acts 2:42). Our worship consists of congregational a capella
singing (Eph. 5:19), Bible preaching (2 Tim. 4:2), praying (1 Tim. 2:1), giving (1 Cor. 16:1,2), and partaking the Lord's Supper each week (1 Cor. 11:26). You will also notice that only faithful Christian men lead the worship services. This is due to the fact that God has designed worship in such a way that women are not to exercise authority over men (1 Tim. 2:11-14). We are a congregation with no head but Christ, overseen by elders meeting
Scriptural qualifications and served by deacons also meeting Scriptural qualifications who lead in many different works (1 Tim. 3). We invite you to come and learn more about the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be a part of our
loving church family!

Common QuestionsWhy don't you sing with a piano/band or have a choir?
From its existence (Acts 2), the church of Christ has never used mechanical instruments in worship to God. Rather, God desires His people to teach and admonish by singing praises to him (Eph. 5:19; Col. 3:16). This command is very specific and is required of everyone. Therefore, we do not add instruments to our worship, nor simply listen as others sing. How do I join the church? Unlike other organizations where members decide who is worthy of joining, the Lord's church is different. In fact, a person cannot join the church; but he can be added to it by the Lord Himself (Acts 2:47). When a person demonstrates faith, repents of sin, confesses Jesus as the Son of God, and is baptized for the forgiveness of sins, he is added to the Lord's church (Acts 8:1-12; 26-40). I am a member of the church of Christ and looking for a congregation. I would like to worship with you regularly. What do I need to do? God has organized the church with Christ as the head/chief Shepherd (Eph. 1:22,23; 1 Pet. 5:4) and elders who serve under Christ as shepherds over local congregations (1 Tim. 3:1ff). We ask that you meet with the elders of our congregation so they can talk with you further about your needs. |
